Our Projects
Our projects and programs focus on helping towns, communities, and industry groups enact environmental and social projects. What’s a good project for us? Making improvements and supporting initiatives that help people get out of the house and re-engage society at parks, businesses, event spaces, and other popular “third places.” Think of all the farms and parks, historic churches and gardens, breweries and vineyards advancing the social and environmental role of their spaces where the community meets. We want to enhance and prepare these settings for whatever may come in the future, so they can continue to grow as the base stages of a healthy, engaged community.
Whether spaces are privately- or publicly owned, we want people back outside, rebuilding connections. Over the last four years Common Resilience Partners has helped to successfully administer and implement over 1.5 million dollars worth of grant funded community projects ranging from directly implementing facade improvement programs, supporting municipal infrastructure grants, overseeing grant funded food pantry renovations, and leading the establishment of local economic development entities.
The Novel Bakery in Calvert County, MD
The Novel Bakery was a beloved food truck in North Beach, Maryland. When the bakery made the move into its first brick-and-mortar space, Common Resilience partnered with local muralist Katie Brinkley to bring the new location’s vision to life.
Neptune's Seafood Pub
Common Resilience Partners facilitated the addition of a vibrant new mural at Neptune’s Seafood Pub, a beloved local establishment that first opened its doors in 1985. Local muralist Katie Brinkley was commissioned to bring the vision to life and marked a special milestone along the way by completing her 100th mural!
The Backyard Grill and Holy Cow Creamery
Common Resilience Partners helped transform a beloved North Beach, Maryland establishment into an exciting new restaurant. With the support of state funding, we helped bring a fresh new look to the property, including vibrant new signage that welcomes guests and celebrates the business’s next chapter.
Ladies of Charity Food Pantry
For 58 years, the Ladies of Charity have worked to combat food insecurity and support families throughout Calvert County, Maryland. Common Resilience Partners was contracted to construct a dedicated, physical food pantry, creating a welcoming and accessible space where community members can receive essential food resources and support.
